About Price Point

Price Point is an affiliate product-comparison website. You can browse products and guides without creating an account.

Purchases take place on external retailer websites. The current Price Point website does not collect checkout details or process payments.

Saved Products

When you save a product, its identifier is stored in your browser using local storage under the key “pricepoint:favourites:v1”.

The current favourites feature does not upload this list to a Price Point account or server. Saved items are associated with the browser and website address you use, rather than a signed-in account.

Saved identifiers remain until you remove them, clear the website's browser data, or your browser removes the stored data.

You can remove individual items on the Saved Products page. To remove the entire list, clear this website's stored data through your browser settings. Other people using the same browser profile may be able to see your saved items.

Searches and Filters

Search terms and selected filters may appear in the page address as URL parameters. This lets you navigate to or share a particular set of results.

These addresses may remain in your browser history and may be included in hosting access logs when the website is accessed online. Avoid entering sensitive personal information into searches.

Contact Messages

The current contact form prepares a draft in your email application. It does not submit your message directly to a Price Point backend.

Preparing the draft does not send it. If you choose to send the email, we receive your email address, the message content, and any other information you include.

We use information you send to respond to your enquiry, investigate reported listings, consider suggestions, and maintain relevant correspondence.

Your email provider and our receiving email provider handle the message under their own policies. Do not include passwords, payment details, or unnecessary sensitive information.

To ask about a message you have sent, or request its deletion, contact us through the Contact page.

Retailer and Affiliate Links

When you follow an external retailer link, you leave Price Point. The destination website receives information associated with your visit under its own privacy practices.

Affiliate links can include tracking information. Retailers or affiliate providers may use cookies or other technologies to attribute qualifying purchases.

Review the destination website's privacy policy and available choices before using its services.

Hosting and Technical Information

When the website is accessed through a hosting service, that service may process technical information such as IP addresses, requested pages, browser information, and access times to deliver and secure the website.

The frontend code currently provided for Price Point does not include an analytics or advertising tracking script. This statement does not describe additional processing performed by a future hosting provider.
